Educational Renaissance’s mission is to provide excellent and quality professional development opportunities for teachers, school leaders, school board members, parents, and business and civic leaders so they may acquire the essential knowledge and skills needed to ensure all their children achieve at high academic levels and succeed in life. The workshop topics that follow have been identified in the educational research and related literature as being highly effective in improving student learning and therefore, of significant value to those who have a vested interest in seeing more of their children succeed academically. Each series topic is not all inclusive and in most cases relies on the research findings associated with several other series topics.
Virtually all of the series topics have been designed to be presented and facilitated during either a one- or two-day workshop session. However, in some instances the knowledge and skills covered in a series topic may be modified and presented within an individually tailored timeline. The staff of Educational Renaissance will custom build and tailor workshops to accommodate the interests and needs of schools, school districts, or consortiums. The primary difference between the varying lengths of a workshop is in the time that can be dedicated to discussions, and hands-on and practical applications.
Educational Renaissance has arranged their professional development workshop topics within seven general series categories:
