Curriculum/Instruction/Assessment Portfolio

Purpose: To provide a research-based lesson planning resource that is designed to allow the alignment of local, state, and/or national curriculum content standards with effective instructional and assessment strategies and best practices. The C/I/A Portfolio is a computer generated application that includes the three major resources designed and developed by Educational Renaissance:

  1. Lesson Plan Templates (LPT’s) are designed and created to meet local and state needs and may be embedded with local and/or state curriculum standards (Alaska and Montana). Blank LPT’s are also provided to allow lesson planning flexibility and local embedding.
  2. A grade and course listing of all the curriculum standards required to be taught by the school district and/or state. This document is an excellent resource for Curriculum Mapping and textbook review and adoption.
  3. An Instructional and Assessment Reference and Resources file that provides a current listing of research-based effective instructional and assessment strategies and best practices. A brief description/explanation with citations for each reference and resource is provided for further clarification and professional development consideration.

State curriculum, instruction, and assessment additions, deletions, modifications, and updates to state adopted standards and related documents are automatically reviewed by Educational Renaissance when they occur and updates to the C/I/A Portfolio are distributed to all subscribing school districts in a timely manner and at no additional cost.
