Welcome When reflecting on the current state of education in this country and the ongoing debate that the promises and mandates of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) generates, I am often reminded of a George Bernard Shaw quote that the late Bobby Kennedy often used while campaigning for the U.S. Presidency in 1968 – “Some men see things as they are and say why, I dream things that never were, and ask, why not.” If our nation’s schools are to achieve the world-class educational goals that are associated with NCLB they will need to create and sustain teaching and learning environments where all students are indeed challenged to excel academically, socially, and physically. The educational community will need to continually examine and implement those research-based findings that time-after-time have proven to be effective in improving student performance . . . they will need to continually ask “why not.” A “NEW” resource for educators and school leaders in Alaska and Montana has been developed and is now available online to assist school districts in aligning state and local curriculum standards with effective instructional and assessment strategies, methods, and best practices. We refer to these web based lesson planning tools as – Lesson Plan Templates (LPT’s). We believe LPT’s have the potential to dramatically impact student performance in significant ways. We hope you will have the time to take the LPT tour and witness first hand the power and robustness that LPT’s can provide.
Once again we would like to thank you for visiting our web site and genuinely hope the information presented will assist you in improving the educational quality of your school. Our professional development programs and school improvement resources can ensure a “Highly-Qualified” teacher is in every one of your classrooms. ![]() |
